Forum 35’s Public Education Project Accepting Applicants

Forum 35 is accepting applicants for its annual Public Education Project, which supports education initiatives in the Baton Rouge area. Applications are due byApril 30.
Forum 35’s Public Education Project (PEP) is a group of young professionals passionate about supporting education initiatives in Baton Rouge. The purpose of the committee is to partner with one school each school year in order to support opportunities to enhance the school environment and provide resources and opportunities for students.


This partnership includes a large-scale summer renovation and cleanup project at the partner school, access to young professional volunteers, a small-scale spring renovation and cleanup project, and one Learning on Location grant each semester.
To qualify for this application, the school must be:
·A public charter or traditional public school
·In Baton Rouge, Louisiana
·Serve predominantly low-income students


A panel of members from Forum 35’s Public Education Project committee will blindly judge all applications. Three applicants will be selected from this application process for an in-person interview with the final selection occurring in May 2018.
