For this Leadership Hour, Anita Byrne, partner at SSA Consultants will lead an interactive workshop on how to recognize and resolve conflict in a team setting. Following the event we will head to La Carreta on Bluebonnet to continue the conversation and networking!

In this series, you will learn about:

  • Identifying and navigating personality types
  • The 5 stages of team development
  • How to communicate while in a conflict

Serving as a trusted resource for hundreds of clients, Anita has developed a dedicated approach to client engagements and organizational team building. She has provided public and private institutions across industries pragmatic recommendations based on data-driven methods to project and team management. Anita exemplifies SSA’s commitment to helping its clients achieve high performance and operational excellence.

Anita's work includes actively serving as Project Coordinator for Blueprint Louisiana, a statewide reform effort focused on fundamental improvements in ethics, education, workforce development, health care, and transportation infrastructure. Her research and project management efforts for Blueprint proved instrumental in creating awareness and fostering buy-in from stakeholder groups and governmental entities across Louisiana.

Additionally, Anita played a key role in the design implementation of provider outreach programs and materials in support of the initial implementation of BAYOU HEALTH, Louisiana’s new Medicaid coordinated care model. In this role, she assisted in the facilitation of nearly 80 in-person education sessions serving more than 4,000 Medicaid and LaChip providers across Louisiana.

She also served as a key participant in the development of the Louisiana Emergency Response Network, a public statewide trauma system. In this role, she led best practice research efforts and managed the aggregated findings to ensure efficient data gathering and straightforward recommendations based upon these efforts.

Other notable client engagements include a multiyear planning and project management services in support of Louisiana Models for Change, a juvenile justice reform initiative supported by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and led by the Institute of Public Health and Justice.

Before joining SSA in 2006, Anita managed a multinational restaurant company where she specialized in training and development and guest relations.

Anita graduated from the Louisiana State University with college honors, where she earned dual bachelor’s degrees in history and political science.
